Postnatal Yoga

Congratulations, a mother is born!

It is important to build strength and balance, but in the first months that follow birth finding relaxation and rejuvenation is paramount.

The classes that I generally teach are a combination of hatha, vinyasa, and restorative yoga; however for Post-natal yoga I focus on specific movements and areas of the body:

  • Shoulder and neck
  • Chest openers
  • Back strengthening
  • Abdominal toning (transverse abdominis exercises, not crunches)
  • Pelvic floor
  • Restorative poses

Private yoga sessions are a great way to build your practice, learn yoga, or work on specific bodily complaints. Private yoga sessions are catered to you.

I generally recommend people see me not earlier than 4-6 weeks post partum. 6 weeks if you have had a cesarean.

Private sessions:

  • First session is a minimum duration of 1.5 hours: $75
  • Afterwards sessions are $55/hour.
  • $ 75 for 1.5 hours.
  • $90 for 2 hours.

I am happy to accommodate friends up to a max of 4 people.

Additional people: $20 per person.
